Our PTO events thrive on the power of volunteers like you! These incredible events wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and passion of our amazing volunteers. We know how challenging it can be to carve out time in your busy schedule, especially on short notice. But if you can make it happen for any of these upcoming events, we’d love to have you on board! Let us know if you can lend a hand and help make our community even stronger.
september
The Scholastic Book Fair begins on September 16th and runs through September 20th. The fair takes place during school hours, as well as during Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, September 18th!
Fall Picture Day is September 27th! Help our Sargent Stars smile for their glamor shots! Picture Retake Day is November 13th.
OCTOBER
Trunk or Treat will be October 18th (rain date October 25th). This is a Family Fun Night and runs from 6pm-7:30pm. Sign up to decorate your trunk and hand out candy to the ghouls and ghosts of Sargent! Volunteers are also needed for setup, cleanup, and as entrance monitors for the event.
November
Turkey Trot will be November 9th and is open to the entire Beacon community. Adults can register to participate in a scenic 5K race, while kids have their own fun run led by PE faculty. Student Council will also be collecting for their annual food drive.
dECEMBER
Holiday Shoppe - December 2th-6th. A favorite event for kids and volunteers! Students will come during school hours to shop for their family and friends at our annual holiday shoppe. Our goal will once again be providing cute items for under $5 to keep it affordable for everyone. Volunteers needed between the hours of 10am-2pm, usually in two hour shifts, but we accept any time!
Winterfest - December 6th - Kids come dressed in their best (or whatever makes them feel good about themselves!) and dance the night away while sipping on some hot chocolate and enjoying some of the other amenities we provide. This is a Family Fun Night event and runs from 6pm-7:30 pm. Volunteers are needed for setup and cleanup, vending snacks and drinks, and as entrance monitors and chaperones for the event.
JANUARY
Arts & Crafts Night- January 31st. Join us for a night of guided arts, led by Sargent parent Ashley Harvey. Ashley is a talented artist and art teacher and the kids loved painting with her last year. This is a Family Fun Night and runs from 6pm to 7:30pm. Registration is required for this event.
MARCH
Trivia Night - March TBD This is our annual fundraiser for the adults! Grab your best quizzing friends to make a team and help us to help raise money for the PTO. We are currently working on a venue, so date and time will be confirmed!
Bingo Night - March 28. It's bingo. Who doesn't love bingo!? This is a Family Fun Night event and runs from 6pm-7:30pm. Volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, checking Bingo cards, and vending snacks and drinks during the event.
MAY
Eras-themed Spring Fling - May 2nd. No, it's not a Taylor Swift party (yes, some of us are disappointed about that). Kids come dressed up in the era (think decade) of their choice and enjoy an evening of dancing with their friends. This is a Family Fun Night event and runs from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, vending snacks and drinks, and as chaperones during the event.

Sargent's annual Field Day is held in June and organized by the PE faculty. The PTO assists with recruiting volunteers and purchasing supplies for the Field Day games.
Camp Sargent - June 13th (rain date June 20th). Our end-of-year playground party and Pride festival, at Camp Sargent kids enjoy free ice cream, splash in water play activities, and play with their friends before summer begins. This is a Family Fun Night event and runs from 6pm to 7:30pm. Volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, and ice cream distribution!
